My name is jay banks I'm 16 years young and I mix old school and drum n bass, I also have just started on producing drum n bass and breakz. I'm what you would call an "INDEPENDANT GUY" or a "QUIET PERSON".
I've been playing oldschool since i can remember on a pair of technics sl1210s mkII's, my dad bought his technics in 1996 when i was one, the first time i probably tried to play a turntable was when I was about Two and I just started swinging the toneing arm about and snapped it lol.
When i was about 8 or 9 I got my first record and it was for free from a record shop in the town called "Spinning Discs" the record was given to me for free and then I got home and played it on my dads decks all the time, but shortly after I realised why I got the record for free, because the record had a huge lump on the side like it had been threw off the wall. in 2006 I got my first pair of decks but they where CDJ'S (Stanton C314's). These where the decks that I really started to learn on but i learned to mix with clubland and common rave stuff. After about two year I sold my decks because they got boring (I THOUGHT THEY WHERE BORING BECAUSE THE MUSIC WAS TERRIBLE ) so I sold them for £350 then my dad got a pair of technics SLDZ1200's and that's when I started to realise what music I liked.
After burning loads of old school tunes on disc's for years my dad got me my technics 1210's and we got all his records out the loft after them sitting there for about 7 years (it was a dusty job!). once I was really into old school I started getting into my dads music witch was underground drum n bass, like METALHEADZ and VIRUS records, ETC. That s basically the outline of Phuture Junglist and how I was brought up in the music industry hope you like my mixes and upcoming tunes.
